About Unashamed.net
Unashamed.net is a Seventh-day Adventist Christian lay ministry
dedicated to mobilizing and networking young people who are serious
about following Jesus Christ in the narrow way. Unashamed.net
was founded by and is maintained by Michael Prewitt as a personal
outreach project.
Unashamed.net believes that God is calling for an "army
of youth"
a worldwide union of young people who take the Bible as
their guide and see each lost soul as part of their mission. We
count it a privilege to follow Christ, and will gladly divest
ourselves of all habits, customs, and preferences that interfere
with our calling or witness. We believe that for every sacrifice
we make, God has something better to replace what we left behind.
Now is the time for young adults who are serious about responding
to the call of Christ to stand up and be counted. There can be
no partiality to our faith; we must take the Bible as a whole.
It is time we renew the vision. Let us act as believers living
in the last days.
About the name
The name "Unashamed" represents our philosophy that young
adults should not be embarrassed by their commitment to God in their
line of work, in their activities, or in their relationships with
others. We are to let our light shine. The name is drawn from the
Bible, Romans 1:16: "For I am not ashamed of the gospel of
Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that
believeth...."
There is a personal testimony popularized in recent years, entitled
"My Commitment
as a Christian"
— sometimes called the "Unashamed poem." It is included here because
it reflects the aim and purposes of Unashamed.net.
Who we are
Unashamed.net is a lay Seventh-day Adventist organization, fully
behind our church's appointed mission and prophetic destiny. We
are located in Thompsonville, Illinois, USA.
We are grateful for your prayers and support, which encourage us
and help us to expand into new areas. If Unashamed.net has been
a blessing to you, let us know.
If you are interested in participating in the ministry of Unashamed,
as a guest writer or in some other capacity, we would be delighted
to hear from you.
